Dear Sensei,

I was just sitting down to write to you to let you know how much I enjoyed the training with Sensei Higaonna Friday night and being part of the celebrations yesterday. And here comes your newsletter.

My girls and I were very honoured to be in the presence of Sensei Higaonna and being able to present him with the donation cheque. Watching all the demonstrations made me happy to be part of the “Family Karate” – it certainly felt like it, from the little ones to the very experiences ones – it was impressive. And it all ran very smoothly. The luncheon was also much much more than what I expected – delicious food thanks to everyone involved with it. And I am very happy that my little cherry blossom bonsai found a home as well. And my girls are happy that we were able to take home the Tiger drawing.

All around a better than perfect event,

I would like to send you this note to thank you for your teachings and for your support throughout the years.
Having the opportunity to train under you and for you to once again give me an opportunity to train and present my yondan grading in front of the best Goju Ryu master on earth, Higaonna Morio Hanshi, was an honour.
Once again, thank you very much for your help and support. I pray to God for good health, so, that I can continue to train under you and continue to spread Higaonna Sensei's Goju Ryu.

Dear Nakamura Sensei,

I would like to warmly thank you for having extended this kind invitation to participate in the Grand Opening to me. I am so glad I could make it. I had a fantastic time, as usual when I come to Canada, and was happy to be able to assist a little in preparing the dojo that day. Everyone of the Shudokan family dojo is so friendly, it's always a heart-warming experience to come over. Special thanks to Sensei Adi who once again put up with me! Of course, it was also so great to have the opportunity to have a mini-gasshuku with Higaonna Sensei. What a great man he is . I must say that I also thoroughly enjoyed the demos - I felt that the word "art" in "martial arts" really took on its full meaning through the performances. I am sure Higaonna Sensei was very proud that day.

On behalf of myself, and the students of NYC Goju Ryu, we would like to thank you for allowing us to go, and share with you the grand opening of the Shudokan Dojo.
It was an incredible experience! Being able to train with Higaonna Sensei, and you again, is more than any karateka can ask for. Needless to say, on the long drive home
everyone was still very excited and talking about what a wonderful time they had. They were still in disbelief that they had met and trained with you and Sensei!

seeing Higaonna sensei moving faster and sharper than anyone, makes me challenge me self to train harder,
Like every gasshuku I realize that every sensei in IOGKF is a training sensei, which makes me value IOGKF more and more.

I know that the emails are pouring in about what a great weekend this was. How everything went so smooth and what a complete success it was. Congratulations!
 
You know in life when you have those moments when you say to yourself that I can't believe that just happened. This weekend was one for me. To be in the same room with such greatness and have the opportunity to train with a True Karate Master was awesome. For that I thank you. We as a dojo are so very fortunate to have a great Sensei and to have the chances that you allow us to train with the top Sensei's in the world. I think to myself that there are dojos in the IOGKF that would love for Sensei Higaonna to come and train with them. Higaonna Sensei has been here 3 times since I joined 3.5 years ago. That is truly amazing. I am very proud to be a member of your dojo.

Good morning Sensei,

Firstly I just wanted to say that we had a wonderful time at the dojo opening ceremony.  We really felt like we were part of the very special dojo and memorable and we feel proud to be part of this dojo.  The children will never forget meeting master Higaonna.  He is the type of individual that one is naturally drawn to.  You are right in sayting he is a very special person.

My wife and I wanted to say how impressed we were with the Grand Opening of the Dojo.  It was a once in a lifetime experience for us to witness.  Hopefully you didn't feel too much pain during the demonstration.

Sensei Nakamura,

Just got home from Mexico and Burlington after 2 weeks of visiting and training with Higaonna Sensei and Nakamura Sensei.  As always, the training was great and in depth.  We came away with information that is going to take a long time to digest and then implement into our training.  Higaonna Sensei seemed even stronger now than when he was a bit younger.  Age doesn't seem to affect a great master like him and in fact I think his experience and training has brought him to a different level of strength rarely found in young adults, not to mention a 73 year old man.  It was a humbling experience for me to see the demonstration on kakie between Higaonna Sensei and Nakamura Sensei.

Thank you Sensei for including us as a part of the grand opening celebration of Shudokan Dojo.  The dojo is more impressive each time I set foot in  it.

Dear Nakamrua Sensei,

I really appreciate your kind and friendly attitude.

Seminar was a great, great success.  I again enjoyed as many times before to participate in IOGKF events.  It is always very friendly work simulative atmosphere.  I want to thank you with this occasion to all IOGKF members and especially to your Honbu dojo staff, they are all great people and great karateka.

Of course Morio Higaonna Sensei is with no doubts one of the greatest Martial Arts teachers in the world, I just confirmed that one more time.  I enjoyed his teaching, a very open mind attitude and a very very kind attitude to all participants.

And you were as usual an excellent example of good student of your teacher, a great teacher by yourself and a great practitioner. 

Again thank you very much for all and I hope you will invite me to your events in the future.
