Sept 22-24, 2006 - Canada Black Belt Gashuku

Comments from the participants:

Sensei,

Thank you again for letting me join you and your wonderful students at the Black Belt Gasshuku this weekend. The training is very valuable for me. The detail and explanation you give is unmatched in anything else I have gone to. Simply put, I really like the way you run these gasshukus. You do have a very special group. I can see them growing and improving into a cohesive group of karatekas under leadership. I consider myself as lucky. In many ways I feel a closer bond with IOGKF-Canada. Thank you for everything you do. Please let me know if I can do anything for you and your organization!

Best Regards, Sam Larioza, USA Premier Martial Arts - Ohana Dojo

Onegaishimsu Sensei,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you once again for another great gasshuku. Watching you move and demonstrate each Kata made me feel like I need to work even harder on my Kata. I really appreciated the details you shared with us, especially the explanation of Heishu gata and Kaishu gata, this information has given me a whole new meaning to the way I practice Kata. Your research on the human skeleton is greatly appreciated as well. Now my own personal training will be enriched with this knowledge. It was a pleasure being able to practice and sweat with all our IOGKF Canada instructors in one room. Being able to share some personal time was great too. I hope this is just the begining of many more great Canadian Black Belt Gasshuku to come.

Regards, Genaro Liriano Naha Dojo, Toronto

Onegaishimasu Sensei,

Thank you again for such a nice weekend gasshuku for me, my daughter Jody, and student John. Again, the information was detailed and valuable, and Sensei's ability to explain the most complex detail is definitely a gift. Again, other than just karate and technical stuff, there is a sense of belonging to this big family that is the driving force of our training, although it was only a year ago that we joined. Everybody treats us like they have known us for a lifetime. It was, and is always, the encouraging words that Sensei has for all of us that we take with us and that drives us to be better at what we do, until we see him again next time. Thank you again Sensei Nakamura for all you have done.

With deep respect and best regards, David Ching Shubukan Calgary

Hello Sensei How are you? The weekend was great. Training was excellent. Seeing everyone the best. Thank you for all your time and patience.

Mike Chinadi Kingston Shubokan

Onegaishimassu Sensei Nakamura

I would like to thank you for all the help you brought to me. I am proud to belong to the IOGKF Canada. You are doing a great Job. The Gasshuku was great! There's always little details to correct. Manon and Jacques are really happy, they really enjoyed the training. Manon told me with conviction that she will be ready to grade next here. Thank you again for everything. I feel more a member of the IOGKF Canada family.

Best regards Sylvain Rock Chambly, Quebec Onegai shimasu!

Hello Sensei,

I wanted to thank you for the great gasshuku. It was great to see everyone again and the training and dinners were lots of fun. I found the shoulder explanation to be particularly excellent and it will help me in a great way. Thank you for that.

Sincerely, Steve Hartwig Bushinkan, British Colombia Onegai shimasu!

  November 5th, 2005 - Chi-ishi making session

It was a great day to make Chi-ishi (also known as Torture equipment!). They are used to strenghten the arms and shoulders. They look like a barbarian hammer, without the spikes of course! We made a HUGE one for Sensei' big arms! I think it will end up as a trophy on a shelf (well a thick shelf)!!!

Honestly, they were made for the upcoming Black Belt Gasshuku.
