Sensei Bruce

Sensei Bruce has been a member of the IOGKF since he started studying karate in 1994.   His original objective with karate was simply to escape evening television and provide a means of renewing the learning process.   Karate has held true to both objectives opening doors to world travel and new perspectives. Sensei Bruce now holds the rank of sandan , third degree black belt.

He has attended gasshuku in New York, California, Chicago, several locations in Canada and to two World Budosai in Okinawa, Japan. Sensei Bruce has been an editor of the IOGKF Pan American Shinbun and the online version of the IOGKF International Newsletter. He has also assisted with the running of the IOGKF Canada and IOGKF International websites for several years.

Theresa Stahl

Theresa Stahl has dedicated most of her life to the pursuit of physical fitness for herself and for others. A public-relations professional in the Burlington community for many years, Theresa’s extra-curricular activities have helped her in all aspects of her career.

Active in sports since high school, and dissatisfied with run-of-the-mill gym programs, Theresa turned to the martial arts to expand her fitness routine. Eventually earning a second degree black belt in 2006, she discovered a natural talent and passion for teaching cardio kickboxing. She played a key role in helping to start the first Cardio Kickboxing program in Burlington 12 years ago. Since then, she has helped motivate students to punch and kick their way into fitness and confidence.

Her dynamic and personable approach to group instruction has made her a popular fitness trainer both on and off the floor. Her classes are fast moving and energetic. Students are guaranteed a great workout while having fun, and her creative approach to fitness means no two classes will be the same!

All you need for this class is a pair of boxing gloves, a towel and water bottle, and your commitment to a healthy lifestyle.

Theresa’s motto: A fit body is a fit mind!
